Creating something with surfing 3 November 2022 – Posted in: Surfing

It feels like there is something built into our DNA that pushes us to create. When I saw this video it made me think that as surfers we are creating something, beauty in fact. Not sure if it’s the camera angle or just the fact there’s only one person, or perhaps just the drone footage, but I looked at it and thought well surfing really is an art form, where humans become part of nature’s beauty for a moment or two. Very few activities in the world do you get to become part of something like you do in surfing and create something beautiful that satisfies that base level human desire to create.
